Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Review

Just finished watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with Kristal Robb and the boys. Scotty slept through it, Jonathan watched most of it before falling asleep.

The good: loved the premise, the old Stark tech at the end (and I'm talking Howard Stark repulsor tech), and the team. Coulson was great!

The bad: I totally thought we were watching the origin story of Luke Cage. Nope. Then there is the mystery of Agent Coulsen's time off.. What must he never know? Perhaps he's a life dummy? A clone? And lots of sub-plots that are obviously designed to keep us tuned in. And it worked.

In all, I'm liking it! I see Agents of SHIELD as a mechanism for Marvel to bring in many of the lesser known heroes, Avengers, and villains to pull into movies without needing all the tedious, distracting origin stories. That means more actual story, more complex story, and much better stories forth e movies. And I would love to see more common heroes make cameos, like Luke Cage, Danny Rand, Jessica Drew, and maybe even some mutants from the X-Men. It will be interesting to see where they take it!
